A water and sewer rate increase has been enacted in response to rate increases recently implemented by the Cities of Wyoming and Grandville due to increased demand, rapid community growth, and necessary infrastructure improvements (click here for more information).
Beginning on the July 15 water bill cycle, the new water rates will be charged. This new rate does cover all water usage listed on the bill. The rate increase went from $3.15 per thousand gallons to $4.90. Sewer rates will increase from $5.00 per thousand gallons to $5.05. Quarterly operation and maintenance fees for Wyoming Water Plant and Grandville Sewer Plant infrastructure will be reflected on water/sewer bills.
Estimated typical homeowner’s bill changes:
Water: $60.95 to $103.50
Sewer: $88.50 to $105.75
Total: $149.45 to $209.25
